The HCG Program is Safe In spite of the HCG Very Low Calorie Diet

The HCG fat loss program is likely the most contentious program around. First, it is probably the only one that finds workouts unnecessary. Second, it demands a weight loss diet that allows the least amount of calories. Third, of course, is it uses the HCG, a hormone most people initially will have apprehensions using. Fourth, some critics think the diet has potential dangers.


Getting rid of the workouts makes people happy. Most of them after all are busy people with not enough time for the various activities.  They will have some uneasy moments with the diet though particularly after reading some piece that a critic has written.  Their doubts will be heightened even further by contradicting positions of critics about the HCG hormone.  Some say it’s dangerous since with its power to speed-up the metabolic process combining it with a diet like the HCG diet which limits calorie intake to 500 a day can lead to perilous muscle and protein loss.  Another group of critics say the HCG hormone has not really been proven effective for weight loss. They will cite the lack of studies supporting the supposed powers of the hormone.

Most current and past users will tell you that the diet does not bring dangers at all. Hunger pangs the bane of most dieters engaging in very low calorie diets are kept well under tolerable levels. Naturally, you’ll ask how is this is possible. Well, the only logical answer is that the HCG hormone truly changes the metabolic mode from one of conservation to one of fat burning.
What has the rapid fat burning got to do with preventing hunger pangs and other side effects? This is not a mystery at all. Is HCG diet safe? There’s no question that it is.  But, of course, this depends on how well you follow the protocols of the diet and hormone. The diet though it provides minimal amount of calories does not present difficulties as long as no problems arise from the administration of the HCG hormone.


Required HCG hormone intake is 125 to 200 IUs daily.  You can choose to administer the hormone either through the HCG diet injections or HCG diet drops.  The former was the method recommended when the program was first introduced. Painful and anxiety- inducing and also expensive, it’s not by any means the best method.  The HCG diet drops do not have this constraint and thus the better choice, makes the HCG even safer.
